I usually try not to ask for to much during the holiday season. Putting a burden on my wife and kids just didn't seem the right thing to do. Since my two new grandsons are here I thought toys for the tots would be best served.

My wife and kids surprised the heck out of me, by giving me one of the best Christmas's ever. Their was tech everywhere. It started with my wife getting me the
iPhone 4s ( I thinks that's what its called). Now I have always considered myself to be rather tech-savvy, but with this phone I'm not sure. Thank God for my son Marc. He has the same phone. Without his help I would be still rubbing my finger across the screen wondering why it wasn't obeying my commands. I must admit that downloading Apps has taken up most of my holiday vacation. I think they have an app made for almost any situation. I do have my favorites..."Words With Friends"..."Facebook"...just to name a few. I must say that it is addicting. Free Apps were just the "bomb" as the kids would say. I found my time, just lurking around all the different toys and of course, some productive apps. The things that intrigues me the most are Face-time and the camera. Face-time is the ability to have face to face video conversations on the iPhone.

I do have to admit the learning curve is still a little steep for me, but I'm doing my best. I'll let you know how that turns out.

The most potential for productivity toy, came from my son Kevin and his wife Brittanie. It was a sweet
19.2 volt C3 Cordless drill combo set from Sears. The right angle drill just makes me want to find some thing to put together.

| Coby Kyros MID 8125 |
The most interesting of the tech toys came from my eldest son, Tony and his wife, Jenny. It was a
Coby Kyros MID 8125 an Android operated tablet. It resembles a large cell phone without the phone. I wasn't to sure about some of the features of this little guy, but the more I used it the more I fell in love. I found that the word App is now a common term at my house. Apps for the iPhone and Apps for the tablet seem to the main activity in our living room in the evening. Don't underestimate the power of this guy. After getting the appropriate flash to work within a browser surfing the web was no problem. I really like this gizmo.
